Denise came to the attention of a cardiologist at Rochester General Hospital during a medical mission trip with Hope for Haiti. At just 17 years old, Denise’s life was on the line. She suffered from a rheumatic heart with a failing valve and was so sick that she could no longer attend school.
When I built The Palmier Foundation, my goal was to improve the lives of those in need, giving back to the community in any way that I could. This is why I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to donate $16,000 to The Children and Athletes Regenerative MEDicine (CHARMED) Foundation.
In order to keep well, Daniel Palmier visits Dr. Kathy O’Neil Smith. Dr. O’Neil Smith owns an internal and regenerative medical practice in Newton, MA called Treat Wellness. She provides programs and services to help her patients achieve optimal health—so they can live a life of vitality and abundance.

For many of us, home is our sanctuary. But for those facing certain hardships, home and family are sources of turmoil. Domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness require serious intervention. Victims can find themselves homeless, without the resources or support systems to help them find a way to safety.
On October 22, my staff at UC Funds and I will be running in the Marine Corps Marathon to raise money through the Palmier Foundation for InterVol, one of the main charitable organizations in which we invest. Our goal is ambitious. We’re hoping to raise $26,200 for InterVol—a rate of $1,000 a mile. We have 100 days to make this happen, and I know we can do it.
